A Perfectly Plaid Holiday Table by Tasha Tyler

I've once again teamed up with my dear friend and blogger extraordinaire, Erin of Francois Et Moi. We created a nostalgic and unfussy holiday table scape for today's modern family.  We forgo the use of traditional holiday colors and instead filled her dining room with texture, vintage inspired plaid, shades of amber and pale blue and of course... greenery.  We incorporated vintage from one of our favorite local shops, Retro Wanderlust and some of our own personal hoarding (ehhmmm "Collection").

Head on over to her blog to check out all the deets!

#TchotchRemodel- A Belated Update by Tasha Tyler

The last four (errr five) weeks have been a bit of a blur... they've been filled with long days that've turned into very late nights. I've got to say, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the fruits of your labor changing right before your eyes. Making these changes with your own hands is down right one of the coolest feelings.

I am so excited to say we are more than halfway there! From this point, the kitchen will get more "kitchen-y" everyday and that my friends is a very pretty site to lay my tired eyes on.

So without boring you too much with construction pictures,  I'm going to share the project thus far...

Proof that there was no saving these cabinets ( I KNOW SOME OF YOU HAD YOUR DOUBTS!) WHAT IS THAT HOLE?

Ripping 3 layers of flooring out (This was a pain in my ass, but the new floors make it so worth it)

We re-sheetrocked 2 walls and the ceiling, then mudded and taped them. Tip: Hire this part out, it's very tedious + hard on your body. I wish I had pictures of the husband and I installing sheetrock on the ceiling (with one ladder at midnight) :)

We're grateful to have some very handy friends who've helped us. I'm grateful for my handy husband who takes on tasks (that I would hire out), finishes them like a champ and saves us money!

The painters are spraying the first coat of black enamel as I type this, I'm so anxious to go take a peek.  My husband says I'm running a tight ship over here in regards to our project timeline. I'm happy to say that we're actually on track to finish a little before Christmas! I can't wait to share the full reveal with you and my tips on how to survive a kitchen remodel :)

A Giveaway by Tasha Tyler

One of the main reasons for starting my own interior design firm, was to offer attainable design to all. Educating folks that you don't have to have billions to afford a designer. I'm a believer that if you've got enough to go to store and spend money on new furniture pieces, those pieces should live together artfully in your home.

Just because you have the means to purchase new furnishings, doesn't mean they'll fit together in your particular space. Trust me, each space has it's own strange quirks.  You may have the most gorgeous pieces, and  I can assist with the knowldege and time to execute your project properly. Resulting in a finished look you will be happy with!

That is why I am so excited to share that I've put together a VERY FUN GIVEAWAY! One winner will receive a custom furniture design plan for one room of their choice!
